What do you think about learning how to play the piano? Whether you are new to piano and just want to learn how to get started or you have played before but need to renew your interest, I want to show you a few simple tips that will help in your quest. Do you need to make sure you first off learn as much as possible? You will need proper lessons to learn right. But that is a later topic, for now, let’s talk about tips for playing piano.
First, most people who try learning how to play piano never realize how important sheet music is to be able to read. Most of the time, people are too eager to play they forget and then they lose interest when they hit road blocks and realize that they have to know how to read sheet music in order to get any better. Remember the old saying, you need to learn to crawl before you walk. The very first and easiest tip is to stare at your music and not at the keys. You will not be able to do this right off the bat, because you simply won’t know what keys to push. Eventually you will be able to master this tip.
Tip number two, learn to read music ahead. Basically you are going to want to read a few notes ahead in the sheet music, that way you aren’t hanging on each note progression when it comes into play. Last step, learn how to play and understand chords and scales. This will increase your speed and accuracy greatly.
So about that training. You can hire a tutor, learn on your own, take a class, or pick up and online/at home training course. My favorite learn to play piano product was Rocket Piano by Ruth Searle. She teaches the material very well. Read what the pros and customers had to say about it at the Rocket Piano review.
